Deck builder marketing & lead generation

Deck builder marketing that fills your calendar with signed builds.

We build the deck lead generation engine that turns your market into a steady stream of booked composite decks, pergolas, and outdoor living builds, run it for you, and hand you the keys. No more renting shared leads.

A build season only holds so many decks. Every empty slot is gone for a year.

A deck sells slowly and gets built fast. Homeowners spend weeks on composite versus treated, railings, and renderings, then all want the same June start. Deck builder marketing is what fills those slots before the season fills them for you.

We build the whole engine, run it for you, and hand you the keys. Search, ads, site, reviews, and follow-up, all aimed at the builds worth a week of your crew's time. No shared leads, and the website itself is fully yours at month 6.

Founder, Contractor Fast Lane

In 2015 I started Four28 Marketing with one goal: give local businesses an unfair advantage in their market.

Eleven years and 250+ businesses later, one pattern kept jumping out. Home services was the one place I could run the same playbook and watch it actually work. Not a slide in a quarterly review, real jobs on a real calendar. I’d rather move the needle for a small business than a Fortune 500 any day.

So we took everything we had built over a decade and pointed all of it at one thing.

Why deck builders stay stuck

Short build season. No room for a slow month.

Your builds are not the problem. The problem is the twelve weeks of comparing, pricing, and stalling that happen before one gets signed.

Renting deck leads that only climb in price

You pay $60 to $150 for a shared deck lead, then race three or four builders to the same homeowner. Win maybe one in ten, and the price goes up every year while your margin gets eaten alive.

Invisible while homeowners gather inspiration

Deck buyers compare composite brands, railings, and designs for weeks before they book. If you are not on page one and in the map pack during that stretch, the build goes to whoever is.

Design quotes that go quiet after the meeting

A $40,000 deck build rarely closes on the spot. Without disciplined follow-up on financing and design revisions, your quote sits in a drawer while a pushier builder stays in the homeowner's ear.

Leads go cold before you call back

A deck lead that waits an hour is usually gone. If you are running a build and nobody answers, the fastest builder wins the job, not the best one.

Our kind of deck company

For the builder whose calendar is the constraint.

You run real crews. Your framing is square, your permits get pulled, and your finished builds are the best photos in town. What is missing is a full calendar in March instead of June, and an engine you are not renting from anyone.

Real reviews

What the owners actually say.

The same engine has scaled 250+ local service businesses across 25 industries, and deck building is a trade we know cold. Every review below is a real owner. See the full case studies on our results page.

“I've worked with plenty of agencies that promise the world and deliver a folder full of vanity metrics. Contractor Fast Lane is different. They feel like an extension of our team and take the time to understand our industry instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all template. Since partnering with them we have seen a significant increase in qualified leads and a real boost in ROI, and our cost per acquisition has dropped.”

I was with a different company for TWELVE years whom I trusted, only to find out he had not been performing yet was charging us anyway. We didn't have our log-ins, never got reports, and had no idea what we were missing.. until my wife found these guys. Daniel and the team have made my business shine. They are a God send.

My husband and I run a local business, and when it came time to grow we knew we needed experts. Contractor Fast Lane came highly recommended from a friend who raved about them. They are crazy good at taking complicated, nerdy stuff and making it make sense, and they were always communicating so I never once wondered what was going on. Their SEO work for our market has been a game changer, and we have seen a tangible increase in our lead volume.

It was clear they had done extensive research on our industry before we ever sat down. We spoke to other agencies, but there was a distinct difference. What really stood out was their proven track record getting clients top rankings on Google. We needed a site built the right way, optimized and built to convert, and that is exactly what they delivered. Honestly, it has been one of the best investments we have made for our business.

The deck lead trap

Stop renting deck leads.
Own the system that makes them.

Buying deck leads is renting demand at retail prices. The day you stop paying, it all disappears and you start from zero. Owning your deck lead generation is an asset that compounds and stays yours.

Renting leads

Pay forever. Own nothing.

Every build costs the same or more than the last. Stop paying and the leads vanish overnight.

Owning the engine

Build once. Compound for years.

Your cost per build falls as the asset grows, and the website itself is fully yours at month 6.

Your deck growth engine

Four systems.
One deck engine.

Most deck builder marketing leans on one channel and hopes. We connect four so they feed each other, and feed your calendar a steady flow of booked outdoor living builds.

What the deck calendar really rewards

Twelve months of buying. Six months of building. Plan for both.

The money in decks hides in the gap between a homeowner starting to imagine the backyard and the week your crew can actually be there. Every piece below is built for that gap, and for the ticket you can add while it is open.

1Book the season before the season starts

Homeowners choose a deck builder in January for a build they want by Memorial Day. Switch your visibility on in April and the good slots are already claimed. The engine is earning position through the months everyone else goes quiet.

2Composite buyers are a different business

A treated deck and a composite build of the same footprint are two different businesses. Different margin, different buyer, different conversation. The engine sorts them at the search, so your estimator spends the day on builds you want.

3Sell the drawing, not the estimate

A build this size does not sell off a line item. It sells when the homeowner sees their own backyard drawn, railings and all. Everything upstream is built to get them to that design appointment instead of to a phone quote.

4The rebuild lane nobody is bidding on

NADRA counts more than 60 million decks in the US and puts roughly half of them past their useful life. Those owners search repair, safety, and resurfacing long before they search build. We meet them there and turn it into a rebuild.

5Everything you can add above the deck

A pergola, a roof over it, a screen enclosure, lighting, cable railing. Those are what separate a fine deck from a big one, and they have their own searches. We market them as products, not as upsells you remember at the table.

6An engine that works in the off-season

Ads stop the day you stop paying, and most deck ads stop in October. Rankings, reviews, and pages in your name keep working through the winter. The website itself is fully yours at month 6, and your data is in your accounts from day one.

One deck builder per market. Is yours taken?

We work with one deck builder per service area. Give us 15 minutes: the builds you want more of, the towns you cover, and whether anyone has locked your territory yet.

What's inside your system

The whole engine, built around your build calendar.

No more juggling five vendors who do not talk to each other. Every piece of your deck lead generation is built, connected, and run under one roof.

Deck SEO & Google Maps

We get your deck company ranking for the searches that matter, composite deck builder, deck installation, and deck contractor near me across your service area, plus the Google map pack where the calls come from.

Google Local Services Ads

The Google Verified badge that puts your deck company at the very top of the results, pay-per-lead placement built for the homeowner who is ready to hire a deck builder right now.

Deck PPC & paid social

Deck Google Ads and Facebook and Instagram campaigns tuned to spring building season, composite and Trex demand, and outdoor living projects, so you can turn volume up the moment your crews have room.

A deck builder website built to convert

A fast, mobile-first deck website engineered to turn visitors into booked design consultations, with the project galleries, financing calls, and trust signals homeowners look for before they book a build.

Review & reputation engine

Automated review requests that build a wall of five-star Google reviews, the single biggest reason a homeowner picks one deck builder over another in the same town.

Speed-to-lead & CRM follow-up

Every deck lead gets an instant text and a spot on your calendar, then automated follow-up until they book, so no design quote ever slips through the cracks while you are running a build.

Who this is built for

For deck builders who want the season booked out.

Our best-fit deck builder

You run real build crews and want predictable, owned growth.

Contractor Fast Lane is built for established deck builders and outdoor living companies doing roughly $500K to $10M and up per year that have outgrown word-of-mouth and referrals. If you already have the crews and the reputation, we build the deck builder marketing engine that takes you to the next level, and lock your market so a competitor cannot buy the same system.

Composite & Trex decksHigh-ticket composite builds from homeowners who want one trusted local design-build company, not the cheapest bid.

Pergolas & outdoor livingPergolas, outdoor kitchens, and living spaces that raise the average ticket on every build.

Screened porches & three-season roomsLarger enclosed builds that fill the schedule for months and command premium margins.

One deck builder per marketWe work with a single deck company per service area. Yours locks when you start.

The long game

Your deck building engine gets stronger every month it runs.

Deck work happens in a short window. The buying does not. Homeowners are picking a builder in January for a deck they want by June, so the pages, photos, and reviews stacked up through the cold months are what your crews are building from when the season opens.

Launch Year 1 Year 3
The groundwork we lay here…
…is why it picks up steam here.
Illustrative shape, not a projection.

A spring ad blitz ends the day the spend does. What we build keeps working in November, when every competitor in town has switched their ads off.

Early onWe build the engine and switch it on. You feel some of it right away. Most of it is foundation you will feel later.
As it maturesEvery month stacks on the last. Your rankings, reviews and repeat customers start feeding each other instead of resetting.
The long runGrowth that took real work to build is not easily taken away. Rented demand disappears the month you stop paying for it.
Daniel Segalo, founder of Contractor Fast Lane
A note from the founder

Why we built this.

“I kept watching the same thing happen: a deck builder doing five-star work, running circles around the shop down the street, and still losing to them. Not because the other guy was better. Because he had a system bringing him customers, and they didn't.

So we built the system. Then we packaged the whole thing, done for you, for local service businesses ready to scale. We keep your calendar full, you run the jobs, and it is all in your name, right down to the website becoming yours at month 6.

No contracts, no lock-ins. We earn it every month. And we only take one company per market, so if yours is still open, I'd love to meet you.”

Deck builder marketing FAQs

Real questions from deck company owners.

How much do deck building leads cost?
It splits hard by channel. Published 2026 vendor figures put shared Angi and HomeAdvisor deck leads at $75 to $175 each, Local Services Ads at $25 to $50, and Google search leads at $30 to $70. Shared leads look cheap until you count close rates: the same backyard goes to three or four builders. We are not in the lead business. We build the asset that produces them, in your name.
How much should a deck building company spend on marketing?
Five to ten percent of revenue is where most established deck companies sit, more in a year they add a crew. The more useful math is per build slot. If your crews can deliver forty decks between April and October, you are buying forty decisions, not four hundred clicks. And a rented lead is gone the month the invoice stops. A ranked page is not.
When should I start marketing for next deck season?
Earlier than feels natural. The homeowner who wants to be hosting on a new deck in July is comparing builders in January and signing in February, so an engine that switches on in April is bidding for what is left. Paid placement can be live in weeks. Rankings, build photos, and reviews need months of runway, which makes your slow stretch the build phase for the engine itself.
How do I get bigger deck builds instead of small repair jobs?
Stop competing for the searches that produce them. Board swaps and stain jobs come off generic deck queries. A covered multi-level build comes off composite, screened porch, railing, and brand searches. We aim the engine there, put finished builds and real budget context on the site so the small stuff self-selects out, and route the rest into a design appointment instead of a phone quote.
Do I get exclusive deck leads, or the same ones Angi sells to four builders?
Exclusive, and never resold. The lead arrives in your CRM with your company name on the form, because the ad, the ranking, and the site that produced it are all yours. Angi works the other way: one homeowner, sold to whoever buys the notification. We also lock one deck builder per market, so you will not find another Contractor Fast Lane client quoting the same backyard.
Can you bring in deck rebuild and resurfacing work too?
Yes, and it is the most underworked demand in the trade. NADRA counts more than 60 million decks in the US and estimates 30 million are past their useful life. Those owners search whether a deck is safe or worth repairing months before they accept it needs replacing. The engine is built to be there for that search, so your team gets the rebuild conversation first.
Do you work with pergola, covered porch, and screen room builders?
Yes. Pergolas, covered porches, screen rooms, railing replacements, pool decks, and multi-level builds each get their own pages and campaigns, because a homeowner pricing a screened porch does not search like one pricing a deck. If your company sells the structure and not just the framing, the engine is built to sell all of it.
How is this different from a deck builder marketing agency, and what do I own?
Agencies rent you effort and hold the accounts in their own name, so leaving means starting over. This is a product. We build the engine, run it, and keep it under your login: your customers, reviews, content, and data are yours from day one, and the website itself becomes fully yours at month 6. Walk away in year three and it keeps running. See how ownership works →
