Fencing marketing & lead generation

Fence company marketing that keeps your crews setting posts, from first thaw to first frost.

We build the fencing lead generation engine that turns your market into a steady flow of booked fence installs, wood, vinyl, aluminum, and chain-link, run it for you, and hand you the keys. No more renting shared leads and racing four companies to the same backyard.

Three bids. One spreadsheet. The winner is decided before the numbers land.

Fencing gets bought by the linear foot, so your quote lands on a kitchen table beside two others that look almost identical. Fence company marketing is what gets you picked before that comparison, instead of shaving the price to survive it.

We build the fencing lead generation engine, run it for you, and hand you the keys. Every lead is exclusive, never the same homeowner sold to four crews at once. And the website itself is fully yours at month 6.

Founder, Contractor Fast Lane

In 2015 I started Four28 Marketing with one goal: give local businesses an unfair advantage in their market.

Eleven years and 250+ businesses later, one pattern kept jumping out. Home services was the one place I could run the same playbook and watch it actually work. Not a slide in a quarterly review, real jobs on a real calendar. I’d rather move the needle for a small business than a Fortune 500 any day.

So we took everything we had built over a decade and pointed all of it at one thing.

Why fencing companies stay stuck

Best fence on the block. Still fighting on price.

None of this is about the quality of your work. It is about what a homeowner can see before they pick a bid.

A season that pays for the year

Spring and summer bury you, then the calls thin out while payroll stays. Without a system filling the calendar, the surge months have to carry every slow one.

Racing four fence companies to one homeowner

Shared fencing leads get resold to three or four companies at once. By the time you call back, two competitors have already quoted and the homeowner is comparing price per foot.

Price-per-foot shoppers eating your margin

When a homeowner holds five nearly identical bids, the cheapest crew wins. Without reviews, photos, and positioning that sell quality, you are just a number on a spreadsheet.

Missing the neighborhoods going up fence by fence

New-home neighborhoods buy fences in clusters, one yard kicks off the whole street. If the neighbors cannot find you when they search, that cluster belongs to someone else.

The fence company we build for

Built for the crew that sets the straightest line.

You run real crews. Your posts are plumb and your gates still swing true in year five. What you want now is a calendar you can plan payroll against, a market nobody else can buy into, and a system with your name on it.

“I've worked with plenty of agencies that promise the world and deliver a folder full of vanity metrics. Contractor Fast Lane is different. They feel like an extension of our team and take the time to understand our industry instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all template. Since partnering with them we have seen a significant increase in qualified leads and a real boost in ROI, and our cost per acquisition has dropped.”

I was with a different company for TWELVE years whom I trusted, only to find out he had not been performing yet was charging us anyway. We didn't have our log-ins, never got reports, and had no idea what we were missing.. until my wife found these guys. Daniel and the team have made my business shine. They are a God send.

My husband and I run a local business, and when it came time to grow we knew we needed experts. Contractor Fast Lane came highly recommended from a friend who raved about them. They are crazy good at taking complicated, nerdy stuff and making it make sense, and they were always communicating so I never once wondered what was going on. Their SEO work for our market has been a game changer, and we have seen a tangible increase in our lead volume.

It was clear they had done extensive research on our industry before we ever sat down. We spoke to other agencies, but there was a distinct difference. What really stood out was their proven track record getting clients top rankings on Google. We needed a site built the right way, optimized and built to convert, and that is exactly what they delivered. Honestly, it has been one of the best investments we have made for our business.

The fencing lead trap

Stop renting fencing leads.
Own the system that makes them.

Buying fencing leads is renting demand one resold homeowner at a time. Owning the engine means the fence searches in your market, and the neighborhoods behind them, find you first.

Renting leads

Pay forever. Own nothing.

Renting fencing leads means $20 to $80 a pop, four companies on the same quote, and margins ground down to price per foot.

Owning the engine

Build once. Compound for years.

By month 6 the engine is yours: exclusive fence installation leads, jobs won on reputation instead of price, and a falling cost per booked job.

Your fencing growth engine

Four systems.
One fencing engine.

Most fence company marketing leans on one channel and hopes. We connect four so they feed each other, and feed your crews a steady run of booked installs.

Get found when fences go up
Own the local fence searches
Turn estimates into booked installs
Instant text back on every inquiry
You get
Booked
jobs

Get found by the homeowner and the whole street behind them, win the estimate on proof instead of price, and follow up faster than any competitor. That loop is what makes your fence company the default choice in your market. See how the full engine works →

Where fence jobs are actually won and lost

Fencing sells by the foot. Your marketing should not.

A fence quote is a number per foot sitting next to two other numbers. Everything below is built to move the decision off that page: earlier in the trigger, smarter in the material mix, alive through the permit.

1Get chosen before the three bids line up

By the time a homeowner is holding three quotes, you are a number per foot. We put your work in front of them first: galleries sorted by material and style, the fence you built two streets over, reviews a lowball cannot match.

2Steer the material and gate mix

Someone searching cedar privacy fence is not the buyer searching chain link, and the margins are nowhere close. We target and message by material, then push gates, operators, and upgrades that raise the ticket instead of the footage.

3Reach the trigger, not the browser

Nobody wakes up wanting a fence. They get a dog, put in a pool, close on a new build, or lose a section to wind. The engine is aimed at those weeks, so you are the first call instead of the third quote.

4Follow-up built for the property line

Fence jobs stall on setbacks, surveys, 811 locates, and HOA boards that meet once a month. Automated follow-up holds the job through the approval, so a quote you already won does not go cold while a board takes six weeks.

5Builders and commercial on their own track

Selling a homebuilder, an HOA board, or a site super is nothing like selling a backyard. That lane runs separately: pages for commercial, municipal, and new-construction capacity, plus intake that treats a repeat account like one.

6An engine in your name, not a lead bill

Your site, your ad accounts, your rankings, your reviews, your customer list. The website itself is fully yours at month 6. Own the fence lead generation instead of renting it, and the spend builds an asset, not a monthly bill.

See whether your territory is still open.

We take one fence company per market. It is a 15-minute call: what you install, where you install it, and whether the territory you want is still open.

Fencing SEO & Google Maps

We rank your fence company for the searches that matter, fence installation near me, privacy fence cost, vinyl fence installers, plus the Google map pack where homeowners actually call from.

Google Local Services Ads

The Google Verified badge that puts your fence company at the very top of the results, pay-per-lead placement for homeowners ready to book an estimate, not browse ideas for next year.

Fencing PPC & paid social

Google Ads and Facebook and Instagram campaigns tuned to fence season and material intent, wood, vinyl, aluminum, chain-link, and aimed at the new-home neighborhoods where demand clusters street by street.

A fencing website built to convert

A fast, mobile-first website engineered to turn visitors into booked estimates, with material galleries, financing, and instant quote requests that beat the price-per-foot spreadsheet.

Review & reputation engine

Automated review requests that build a wall of five-star Google reviews, so when five bids look the same on paper, the homeowner picks the crew the whole neighborhood vouches for.

Speed-to-lead & CRM follow-up

Every fencing lead gets an instant text and an estimate slot, then automated follow-up until they book, because the first fence company to respond usually wins the yard.

Who this is built for

For the fence company past the referral ceiling.

Our best-fit fence company

You run real crews and want predictable, owned growth.

Contractor Fast Lane is built for established fence companies doing roughly $500K to $10M and up per year that have outgrown word-of-mouth and lead marketplaces. If you already run real crews and real equipment through the busy season, we build the fence company marketing engine that keeps them setting posts, then hand you the keys. And because we work with one fence company per market, your territory locks the day you start.

Residential privacy & picketCedar and wood privacy fences, pickets, and backyard projects, the bread-and-butter jobs that keep crews moving.

Vinyl & aluminumLow-maintenance vinyl and aluminum installs with higher tickets and cleaner margins than commodity bids.

Commercial & ranchCommercial sites, farms, and ranch fencing, the big-footage contracts that anchor a season.

One fence company per marketWe work with a single fence company per service area. Yours locks when you start.

The long game

Your fencing engine gets stronger every month it runs.

Fencing compounds the way a street does. One good install gets noticed, then the next one, and the reputation stacks. Your engine works the same way. The rankings, reviews, and install photos we build early keep earning, so every spring starts from what you already own.

Launch Year 1 Year 3
The groundwork we lay here…
…is why it picks up steam here.
Illustrative shape, not a projection.

Discount bids fill one summer. The fence companies still owning their market in ten years got there on reach and reputation, and that is how we build it.

Early onWe build the engine and switch it on. You feel some of it right away. Most of it is foundation you will feel later.
As it maturesEvery month stacks on the last. Your rankings, reviews and repeat customers start feeding each other instead of resetting.
The long runGrowth that took real work to build is not easily taken away. Rented demand disappears the month you stop paying for it.

A note from the founder

Why we built this.

“I kept watching the same thing happen: a fence company doing five-star work, running circles around the shop down the street, and still losing to them. Not because the other guy was better. Because he had a system bringing him customers, and they didn't.

So we built the system. Then we packaged the whole thing, done for you, for local service businesses ready to scale. We keep your calendar full, you run the jobs, and it is all in your name, right down to the website becoming yours at month 6.

No contracts, no lock-ins. We earn it every month. And we only take one company per market, so if yours is still open, I'd love to meet you.”

Fencing marketing FAQs

Straight answers for fence company owners.

How much do fencing leads cost?
It depends on the channel, and the sticker price is the least useful number here. Vendors that publish fence pricing list roughly $23 to $39 per lead, and about $49 for an exclusive inbound call. Shared marketplace leads cost less but go to three or four fence companies at once, so you pay to race for a price-per-foot quote. Cost per booked install is the number that matters, and we do not sell leads. We build the engine that makes them.
How much should a fence company spend on marketing?
Most established fence companies plan between 5% and 10% of revenue, and go higher in a year they are taking share. Fencing adds a timing wrinkle: the spend has to be working before the ground thaws, because homeowners search weeks ahead of the first install. What the budget buys matters more than the number. Rented leads stop the day you stop paying. Rankings, reviews, and a site in your name do not.
How do I get more fence jobs without cutting my price per foot?
Change what the homeowner is comparing. When three bids look alike, price decides by default, so show up earlier and with proof: rank for the material searches in every town you install in, show galleries split by wood, vinyl, aluminum, and chain link, and carry a review wall a lowball cannot match. Then answer fast. The company that replies in minutes usually gets the estimate.
Are the fencing leads exclusive, or shared like Angi?
Exclusive. Every lead the engine produces belongs to you and drops into your pipeline, never resold. Marketplaces work the other way: the same homeowner goes out to three or four fence companies, and whoever is cheapest or fastest takes it. We also work with one fence company per market, so you are never bidding against another Contractor Fast Lane client in your service area.
Why does every fence estimate turn into a bidding war?
Because the trade is huge and almost entirely unbranded. There are roughly 313,000 fence construction businesses in a $20 billion US industry, most of them small, so a homeowner can line up three believable quotes in a day and cannot tell them apart. Search is where they sort you. Show up invisible and you are just the third number on the page.
Can you bring in commercial and new-construction fence work too?
Yes, and it runs as its own lane. Builders, GCs, HOA boards, property managers, and municipal buyers do not search like a homeowner who just got a dog, so they get their own pages, their own targeting, and intake built for bid requests and repeat accounts. Most fence companies want both: homeowner replacement to keep crews moving, and contract work to anchor the season.
What should a fence company do in the off-season?
Build the asset while the ground is frozen. Rankings, reviews, and content take months to earn their position, so the quiet stretch is when that work gets done properly instead of squeezed between installs. We also keep the shoulder months earning: repair and replacement, gate and gate-operator work, and commercial or municipal jobs that are not weather-locked.
What do I actually own if we stop working together?
Your customers, your reviews, your content, and your data are in your name from day one, in your accounts, not ours. The website itself becomes fully yours at month 6. Nothing switches off because a contract ended, and nothing is held back as leverage. That is the whole difference between owning fence lead generation and renting it. See how ownership works →
