Pool builder marketing & lead generation

Pool builder marketing that fills your build calendar with signed projects.

We build the pool builder lead generation engine that fills your pipeline with qualified inground pool consults worth $50K to $150K and up, nurtures them across a long sales cycle, run it for you, and hand you the keys. No more renting shared construction leads.

The pool gets planned for a year. Most builders show up in the last two weeks.

New inground starts have fallen by roughly half since 2021, so the backyards still getting built go to whoever the homeowner met first. Pool builder marketing is how you get into a year-long decision in month one, not as the third bid in month nine.

We build the pool builder lead generation engine, run it, and hand you the keys. Exclusive consults, nurtured through the design and financing stretch, in your accounts and your name. No shared leads three other builders already bought.

Founder, Contractor Fast Lane

In 2015 I started Four28 Marketing with one goal: give local businesses an unfair advantage in their market.

Eleven years and 250+ businesses later, one pattern kept jumping out. Home services was the one place I could run the same playbook and watch it actually work. Not a slide in a quarterly review, real jobs on a real calendar. I’d rather move the needle for a small business than a Fortune 500 any day.

So we took everything we had built over a decade and pointed all of it at one thing.

Why pool builders stay stuck

Best builds in town. So where is the backlog?

You did not get here by building bad pools. You got here without a system feeding the calendar. That part is fixable.

Backlog booms, then runs dry

One season the build calendar is packed twelve months out, the next you are staring at open weeks and idle crews. Without a system feeding the pipeline, your backlog swings on referrals and luck.

Shared leads sold to three other builders

You pay a premium for a pool construction lead, then race three other builders to the same homeowner. On a six-figure job, losing that bid to a faster competitor stings for months.

Invisible when they start dreaming

A homeowner ready to plan an inground pool and an outdoor living space searches for weeks before they call. If you are not on page one and in the map pack, they never find you to begin with.

Long-cycle leads that go cold

A pool build closes over months, not minutes. Without steady nurture, the consult you gave in March signs with the builder who kept following up while you were on a job site.

A pool builder walking a backyard excavation before the gunite shoot
The builder we build this for

Built for the builder who is already booked.

You run real crews and real subs. Your portfolio holds up. What you do not have is a calendar you can count on twelve months out, filled with backyards worth building, coming from something you actually own.

Real reviews

What the owners actually say.

The same engine has scaled 250+ local service businesses across 25 industries, and pool building is a trade we know cold. Every review below is a real owner. See the full case studies on our results page.

“I've worked with plenty of agencies that promise the world and deliver a folder full of vanity metrics. Contractor Fast Lane is different. They feel like an extension of our team and take the time to understand our industry instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all template. Since partnering with them we have seen a significant increase in qualified leads and a real boost in ROI, and our cost per acquisition has dropped.”

I was with a different company for TWELVE years whom I trusted, only to find out he had not been performing yet was charging us anyway. We didn't have our log-ins, never got reports, and had no idea what we were missing.. until my wife found these guys. Daniel and the team have made my business shine. They are a God send.

My husband and I run a local business, and when it came time to grow we knew we needed experts. Contractor Fast Lane came highly recommended from a friend who raved about them. They are crazy good at taking complicated, nerdy stuff and making it make sense, and they were always communicating so I never once wondered what was going on. Their SEO work for our market has been a game changer, and we have seen a tangible increase in our lead volume.

It was clear they had done extensive research on our industry before we ever sat down. We spoke to other agencies, but there was a distinct difference. What really stood out was their proven track record getting clients top rankings on Google. We needed a site built the right way, optimized and built to convert, and that is exactly what they delivered. Honestly, it has been one of the best investments we have made for our business.

The pool construction lead trap

Stop renting construction leads.
Own the system that makes them.

Buying pool construction leads is renting. The day you stop paying, the consults stop and your backlog empties. Owning your pool builder lead generation is an asset that compounds every season, and stays yours.

Renting leads

Pay forever. Own nothing.

Every project costs the same or more than the last, and the leads vanish overnight the day you stop paying.

Owning the engine

Build once. Compound for years.

Your cost per signed build falls as the asset grows, and the website itself is fully yours at month 6.

Your pool builder growth engine

Four systems.
One pool builder engine.

Most pool builder marketing leans on one channel and hopes. We connect four so they feed each other, and feed your build calendar a steady flow of qualified, high-ticket consults.

Turn consults into signed builds
Nurture every lead for months

Signed
builds

Get found early, stay in front through the whole decision, win the design consult, and follow up longer than any builder in town. That loop is what turns your pool company into the name homeowners already trust with a six-figure backyard. See how the full engine works →

Where pool builds are won and lost

Six figures, six months, one signature. Everything has to survive the wait.

The money is not in more inquiries. It is in surviving a long decision: the rendering, the loan, the permit desk, and the winter between the summer they ask and the spring you dig. The engine is built for that.

1Follow-up that survives a winter

They ask in July, when the yard is hot and your calendar is already full. You dig the following March. In between sits a winter of silence, and that is where most builders lose the job. The nurture runs the whole way through it.

2Financing is the second close

A signed design is not a signed contract until the loan clears. Budget and financing go in front of the homeowner early, so you know in week one whether the backyard they are drawing is the backyard they can actually pay for.

3Gunite, fiberglass and vinyl are three buyers

A fiberglass shopper wants a date and a number. A gunite shopper wants a designer. They type different words into Google and they price differently. Your pages, ads and intake treat them as three lanes, not one pool lead.

4Filtered before it reaches your designer

A rendering and a site visit cost real hours you never bill. Intake asks what your designer would ask anyway: budget band, who else decides, setbacks and HOA review, and whether an excavator can get past the side gate.

5The remodel lane, when starts slow down

Renovation is a bigger share of industry sales than new construction right now. Replaster, retile, coping and full backyard rebuilds on the pools already in your zip codes keep crews paid through a soft year for new digs.

6Sell the backyard, not the hole

You can only dig so many pools in a season, so the growth is in ticket size. Spa, tanning ledge, fire bowls, decking, outdoor kitchen, automation. The engine puts those in front of them while the design is still moving.

Lock your market before build season.

We take one pool builder per market. A 15 minute call covers your area, your build calendar, and whether the territory you want is still open.

Google Local Services Ads

The Google Verified badge that puts your pool company at the very top of the results, pay-per-lead placement built for the homeowner who is serious about building an inground pool this year.

Pool builder PPC & paid social

Google Ads and Facebook and Instagram campaigns tuned to design-build demand and the long buying cycle, with retargeting and outdoor-living inspiration that keeps you top of mind for months.

A pool builder website built to convert

A fast, mobile-first website engineered to turn dreamers into booked consults, with stunning build galleries, financing options, and design-request forms that presell the project before you meet.

Review & reputation engine

Automated review requests that build a wall of five-star Google reviews, the single biggest reason a homeowner trusts one builder over another with a six-figure backyard transformation.

Speed-to-lead & CRM follow-up

Every consult request gets an instant text and a design appointment, then months of automated nurture until they sign, so no high-ticket build ever slips to a competitor who followed up first.

Our best-fit pool builder

You run real crews and want a full, predictable, owned build calendar.

Contractor Fast Lane is built for established pool builders doing roughly $500K to $10M and up per year that have outgrown referrals and word-of-mouth. If you already build real inground pools and outdoor living spaces, we build the pool builder marketing engine that fills the calendar and takes you to the next level, and lock your market so a competitor cannot buy the same system. Month to month, no contracts, and the website itself is fully yours at month 6.

Inground gunite & fiberglass buildsThe $50K to $150K and up new construction projects that anchor a full build calendar.

Design-build & outdoor livingFull backyard transformations with decking, spas, and outdoor kitchens that lift every ticket.

Financed & high-ticket buyersSerious homeowners lining up financing for a project they research for weeks before they sign.

One pool builder per marketWe work with a single pool builder per service area. Yours locks when you start.

The long game

Your pool building engine gets stronger every month it runs.

Pool marketing pays late, then keeps paying. A homeowner you reach in August is a dig next April and a referral the summer after that. That lag is why owning the engine matters: every season it runs is already working on the next two.

Launch Year 1 Year 3
The groundwork we lay here…
…is why it picks up steam here.
Illustrative shape, not a projection.

Any builder can rent a summer of consults. The one still booked while new starts sit at half their peak owns the thing that fills the calendar.

Early onWe build the engine and switch it on. You feel some of it right away. Most of it is foundation you will feel later.
As it maturesEvery month stacks on the last. Your rankings, reviews and repeat customers start feeding each other instead of resetting.
The long runGrowth that took real work to build is not easily taken away. Rented demand disappears the month you stop paying for it.
Daniel Segalo, founder of Contractor Fast Lane
A note from the founder

Why we built this.

“I kept watching the same thing happen: a pool builder doing five-star work, running circles around the shop down the street, and still losing to them. Not because the other guy was better. Because he had a system bringing him customers, and they didn't.

So we built the system. Then we packaged the whole thing, done for you, for local service businesses ready to scale. We keep your calendar full, you run the jobs, and it is all in your name, right down to the website becoming yours at month 6.

No contracts, no lock-ins. We earn it every month. And we only take one company per market, so if yours is still open, I'd love to meet you.”

Pool builder marketing FAQs

The pool builder questions, answered.

How much do pool construction leads cost?
Cheap on paper, expensive in practice. LocaliQ's home services benchmark puts pools and spas at a $45.15 median cost per lead, but that category is mostly cleaning, repair and retail searches. Build-intent clicks price like construction, and marketplace inquiries get resold to three builders anyway. Run the business on cost per signed contract.
How much should a pool building company spend on marketing?
Most established builders land between 5% and 10% of revenue, and go higher the year they open a second metro. On $4M that is $200K to $400K. What matters is what it buys. Aimed at marketplace leads it is rent, gone the month you stop. Aimed at rankings, a finished-build gallery and a review wall in your own name, the same money leaves you something.
Why are inground pool leads harder to get than they were in 2021?
Because there are fewer buyers. New inground starts ran near 120,000 at the 2021 peak and came in just under 60,000 in 2025, so about half the demand left while the builders chasing it did not. The ones still filling calendars are the ones homeowners find first.
How do I get more inground pool jobs without buying leads?
Get into the decision in month one instead of month nine. That means ranking for the build searches across your metro, a gallery of finished backyards that look like theirs, budget and financing answered before the first call, and follow-up that keeps going through a winter. That is how inbound demand replaces bidding against two other builders.
Are the pool leads exclusive, or resold like Angi and Houzz leads?
Exclusive, always. Every consult the engine produces belongs to your company and lands in your pipeline, never resold. The marketplaces sell the same homeowner to several builders at once, which is exactly why your close rate there looks the way it does. We also work with one pool builder per market, so you never bid against another client.
How do I stop burning design consults on people who cannot afford a pool?
Qualify before the rendering, not after it. A 3D design and a site visit are hours you never bill, so intake does the sorting first: what they are budgeting, when they want water in it, whether both decision makers are in the conversation, and whether the lot can legally hold the pool they are describing. Your designer sees the ones worth drawing.
Can you bring in pool remodel and resurfacing work too?
Yes, and most builders should. Renovation is a bigger share of industry sales than new construction right now, and the pools already in your zip codes need replaster, retile, coping and full backyard rebuilds. It is construction work on a shorter cycle. If you also run weekly cleaning routes, that is a different engine: pool service marketing.
What do I actually own, and how is this different from an agency?
An agency rents you services and keeps the accounts. This is a product you buy and keep. Your ad accounts, your reviews, your customer data and your finished-build gallery are in your name from day one, and the website itself is fully yours at month six. Walk away and it keeps running.
